PCFC Forest Expo Volunteers Needed!

Join us for the Priest Community Forest Connection Expo this May! This long-running, youth-focused event is designed for 6th grade students from West Bonner County School District (Priest River Elementary, Priest Lake Elementary, and Idaho Hill) and Newport School District (Sadie Halstead Middle School).

For the past 18 years, the Expo has engaged students, teachers, and parents, helping foster a deeper understanding of forest environments and conservation.

In the weeks leading up to the event, students receive workbooks to study a variety of forest-related topics. During the Expo, they rotate through ten interactive stations along a trail specifically built for this event, offering hands-on learning experiences about forest ecosystems.

Highlights Include:

• Interactive, hands-on learning stations for students
• Educational exhibits and demonstrations
• Forest ecology and conservation education
• Opportunities to connect with agencies and partners
• Outreach and representation for PRVBCH

Members are encouraged to attend and help support this impactful youth education event while representing our organization and promoting responsible trail use and stewardship.
